This year’s big Microsoft Exchange hack exposed how susceptible the systems we rely on every day are to theft, breach, or other malicious activity. It also highlights the need to take action to prevent another hack from happening again. That’s why, if you run any Microsoft systems, you need this tool.
It’s called the Microsoft Security Compliance Toolkit, and it’s brand new — Microsoft released it on Mar. 16, 2021, just two weeks after the company’s big patch for the Exchange hack. This download provides a suite of tools to download, analyze, test, edit and store Microsoft-recommended security configuration baselines for Windows and other Microsoft products, not just Exchange.
The White House’s National Security Council said Monday, Mar. 22 that the toolkit has been downloaded more than 25,000 times, and, as such, the number of “vulnerable systems” is now down by 45%.
If you’re a Microsoft enterprise security administrator, we highly recommend you download this toolkit immediately.
