Update Your iPhones and iPads Immediately

Another day, another cybersecurity threat. This time, it’s Apple again; the company released a new update for iPhone and iPad that patches a serious zero-day security flaw.

Apple’s iOS 15.0.2 and iPadOS 15.0.2 are the latest updates for the company smartphones and tablets. While the updates fix some small bugs that users may or may not have encountered in 15.0.1, the more important news is the security vulnerabilities patched here.

According to Apple, before 15.0.2, “an application may be able to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges. Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been actively exploited.” Apple acknowledges here that it’s possible this flaw has been exploited already, which makes it even more important to update your devices as soon as possible.

This update is available for iPhone 6s and later, iPad Pro (all models), iPad Air 2 and later, iPad 5th generation and later, iPad mini 4 and later, and iPod touch (7th generation). To update, head to Settings > General > Software Update, then follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the update on your device.
